A Reflection of Change

In partnership with  New City Properties offers space for 8 Atlanta Artists of color to include  visual narratives in response to the imagery on  the temporary plywood wall that separates the Atlanta BeltLine guests from the on going construction area across from businesses,  restaurants and residential living spaces.   A reimagined fence that respects the messages behind the original unsolicited art but focuses on joy and not grief.

The wall has become an open canvas for unknown artists and people of the community  to express their feelings about the experiences of injustice of BIPOC that we have witness over the years but most recently in 2020 and as of 2021. Breaking stereotypes,  awareness for inclusion and a continuous practice of love  and not hate.

A Reflection of Change , a curated mural activation keeps the integrity of the message behind work. This forward thinking project engages the community  bring light into these dark times. It is an artist's duty to reflect the times and encourage future generations. We are here not push trauma but to uplift and adorn images that represent who we are . Respectfully teach, love and celebrate life.   We will find peace in becoming the change we want to see in the world.
